The Papers relate to activities of the Department of Publications of The Museum of Modern Art from 1967 to 1981, when Jane Fluegel was Associate Editor. The Papers contain correspondence with institutions concerning reproduction rights and with staff members concerning production. Noteworthy items include an interview with Sidney Janis conducted by Helen Franc, 1967; correspondence regarding the preparation of the Janis Collection catalog; and books by John Rewald, The History of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism: From van Gogh to Gauguin, including chapters of the former annotated by the author.
